Just got word about the Dodgers closing in on a 3-year deal with ex-Giant Juan Uribe. Uribe would fill in the void at 2nd base.
Uribe, who had 24 HRs last season, will add some pop at 2nd base, something the infield overall doesn't have. Casey Blake had the most HRs out of all of the Dodger infielders with 17).
Uribe can also play shortstop and 3rd base. ESPN anylists think he'll eventually take Casey Blake's spot at 3rd.
Another plus about the possible deal is that the Dodgers will be weakening their divsion rival, and World Series Champs, the San Francisco Giants. He was a vital piece of their World Series win.
Even though Uribe adds some power, I would still like the addition of a power bat at left field. The logical free agents Carl Crawford and Jayson Werth are out of the Dodgers budget, so Adam Dunn is the best choice; he does have more power than either of the two.
I bid you all farewell.
